I agree, mobile users used to be able to set their render distance up to 6, but since 2018 or so when the ability to change render distance was removed for mobile players, we've all been reduced to 1 or 2 render distance, which is annoying for people who know for a fact that their devices can handle more than that.
Which device do you play on?
ummm i used to play on iPod and after the last update my render can still go up to 6. I think the max render should be 16 so ppl with better devices like a windows pc can see further.

I play on a relatively modern ZTE phone, it's capabilities to play PoC are pretty decent, even when I was once able to have the ability to set my render distance to the max; 6, the game still ran very well (averaging between 30-40 FPS, which is still definitely playable).
Ever since that update that removed the ability for mobile players to change their render distance, I've been stuck at 1-2 render distance for years, and I'd like to be able to set my render distance to 6 again.

BlueTangs Rock3, What time was that update introduced? I currently use my old iphone 7 to play planetcraft and I'm still able to adjust my render distance to 6 chunks
The update that removed my ability to change my render distance was implemented a couple years ago, around late 2018 to early 2019. It's also been like this after uninstalling and reinstalling, and around the time this first happened plenty of the people who I knew back then also experienced this happening with them as well.
In the options menu, the spot where adjustable render distance would be is absent. Although "Field of view" may look like the adjustable render distance option at first, it only changes your FOV settings rather than increasing or decreasing your render distance.

Also I had scrolled down on both screens as well, all that was really down there was the "delete account?" option.
