So after you upload a singleplayer world to private map,Can you "edit" it in singleplayer,like if you went on the singleplayer version and made a house,would that house appear in the private map version? Would there be an option to save it?

The uploaded map will be in the state in which you upload it. You can only change uploaded map by playing it in Private Map mode. If you build something in a singleplayer, the changes won't appear in the uploaded map (it's like you create a copy of your singleplayer map in a Private Map mode). But you can upload it (and make another copy of you singleplayer map).
