On Planet of Cubes, I am confused on why you can't add the looting enchantment onto the pickaxe or axe, or fire aspect on an axe. I really wanted to add those enchantments on my already enchanted axe, instead of giving the enchants to my friend who had looting 3 and Fire Aspect 1 on his Sharpness 3 sword, but then he died and lost everything, so I just wasted coins because the enchantments couldn't to on my (What I Consider, but probably isn't) A very strong axe. why are there limits to what you can do?
By the way, something to calm me down, is the fact that (like in Minecraft), the books have their own enchantment applied to them already (If you know what I mean) Fire Aspect book sets people on fire when you hit them with the fire aspect book. :)
No, really.. I just wasted ~300 Coins on just those enchantments, not to mention a Looting 1 I had also given him (before The looting 3 book)

Why would you want to put looting on a pickaxe when it's not even very good as a weapon? I think the enchantment you're looking for is Fortune III.
The last thing we need are more fires. My village was destroyed by that.
The enchantments on PoC are the same/similar to the enchantments off of Minecraft. Enchantments have their own tools they can be placed on, it would be illogical to put fire aspect on a pickaxe because it's not a weapon. Looting wouldn't work on pickaxes because the pickaxe has its own enchantment: Fortune.
Sorry, I forgot about Fortune on a Pickaxe, but I still don't get why there is No Fire Aspect on an axe, it is technically used as a weapon on PvP. Unless there is an enchantment I am forgetting.
Pingu,
Axes have their own enchantments in Minecraft. Here's the list. Axes don't need looting because I believe you can put Fortune on them on PoC. But I haven't tried that out yet.
Riverstar3838,
Though not all of the enchantments on there are in PoC. But since the code for the two is similar, I'm sure we will get those enchantments sooner or later.
Riverstar3838,
*Code for Minecraft and PoC
Riverstar3838, you can put fortune and silk touch on a axe
Pingu,
Also, there is no fire aspect on axes I believe for the reason of PvP balance (axes do more damage than swords when both weapons are unenchanted). I am not 100% sure about this statement I'm gonna make, but I believe using axes as a melee weapon makes it take double durability damage. Axes already are strong enough already that they don't need fire aspect, and I don't believe the developers will add fire aspect anytime soon to axes.
Riverstar3838, As far as I know, both diamond axes and swords do exactly 2 hearts of damage if it's unenchanted. I've seen many people say that axes do more damage to armor, but I'm not 100% sure about that.
Judy, I doubt it does more damage to armor
Ok
A mending enchantment would be nice, since there are no orbs in Planetcraft It could use lapis from your inventory to repair the enchanted tool instead. Mending would just have to be really rare and expensive but It'd be very handy as coins run out so quickly.
I agree that PoC needs mending.
Though I would argue that PoC should just add exp orbs rather than enchantments needing to require coins, since it would make actions such as killing mobs, breeding animals, smelting items, mining ores, etc. be a bit more rewarding.
As for the possible argument that the current way helps Solverlabs monetarily, it indeed does in a way, but there are so many other ways that Solverlabs constantly gets money from the game that it wouldn't hurt them monetarily if in-game coins were no longer required to get enchantments, also not to mention that average players tend to get all of their coins for free anyways with no monetary gain for Solverlabs.
and curses
PoCs are very similar in enchantment content to Minecraft, but PoCs have no resistance restrictions. As far as I can remember, in Minecraft, various resistant enchantments compete with each other, so it is not possible to have a full-body resistant enchantment like PoC. Considering these differences, I think it's okay to consider the possibility that the ax will have a fire aspect enchantment in the future.
Axe with fire..? People are just gonna ditch swords and move on to axes.
