ok i really wonder how the 5/1 diamond people comes out before the shop is added there is only about 10/1 people got diamond armor , afetr the shop it increases a lot lots of my friends stay in spawn and got unbelievable amount of diamonds i ask them how they got i tthey never reply, they just stay in spawn forever and never closed tp, i guess they bought there stuff, this just made diamonds are common and they arent meant to be so, instead we can remove shop and add new cool skins and even add a abillity to create ya own skins!

They aren't all that much rare in Minecraft either.
In Minecraft, in almost every world chunk (16×16 block-wide area) there is a nearly guaranteed 1-10 block vein of diamond ore.

Villages, abandoned mineshafts, strongholds, desert temples, jungle temples, sunken ships, buried treasure chests, woodland mansions, nether fortresses, nether bastions, end cities, and end ships are all generated structures that are sources for diamonds and diamond tools/armor.

With villager trading, diamond tools, weapons, and armor are renewable.

Pretty much the only significant difference between Minecraft's diamond availability and PoC's diamond availability is that unlike in your typical Minecraft singleplayer world, the diamond ore in PoC regenerates, we're on the major survival multiplayer server so diamonds will be circulated between players often, you can actually buy diamond resources in the in-game shop, the woodland mansion with occasional diamond loot regenerates often, PoC events had rewarded players diamond blocks in the past, back in the day creative mode hacks existed where you could obtain the creative mode inventory on the Survival Multiplayer Server, and I wouldn't be surprised if duping once existed in PoC.

My point is that although PoC doesn't really make diamonds a rare resource due to resources re-generating, event rewards, in-game shop purchases, and player interactions including exploits and glitches; Even in base Minecraft, diamonds are much less of a rare resource than they used to be back in the older update versions.

BlueTangs Rock3,
I think that at some point down the line, the forums stopped properly registering line spaces, so it seems like my comment turned into a large blob of text, strange

i know diamonds arent meant to be tooo rare but they are toooo unrare or common, i surveyed 15 people randomly, 13 of them got diamonds, while in the 13, 4 have more than 30 db and 1 got 2 stacks, its too common

i have calculated slowly in 150 people in main, 30-35 are full diamond people with enchs , about 20 have enchs inside , and 2-6 have op enchs tthe restt 115 people, about 68-70 have no armor or just didnt wear , and the rest is iron and gold armor

about 15-20 according to survey. ratios and scientific evidence in 150 have more than 50 db

Well, there is a lot of land discovered in Planet Of Cubes, a lot of users on PoC, a lot of time and updates on PoC. I am pretty sure the reason of all those diamond people who are wealthy in diamonds could be because of an old thing I heard about. They are called diamond temples, I don't know why people want them back (Considering you have diamond and other ores that respawn) Apparently they gave you 80 Diamond Blocks?? 80*69 is around 5120.  5120 Diamonds from one of these? that's what would make diamonds too common. Even though not everyone who has diamond armor got it from diamond temples, there are.bound to be some who do use the shop to their advantage. Also, people could raid bases where riches have been exposed, but that is unlikely. Events participated in can be a variable, but that is a bit unlikely too.

One thing you forgot to do was survey more people for a bigger sample size. Also, the people you surveyed that said they had diamond blocks could have been lying. In a game like this, you can't survey people and have them be honest because for all we know, you can be lying too. By the way, you need to see the spawn zone more and collect information every day of the week, month, or something more than one day. Spawn Zone may Vary from the other ones, you also make sure no one leaves or joins through portals or anything. Also, you need to make sure you are getting everyone's and yeah..

Conclusion: there are.other ways to get diamonds.and it is impossible to keep track of people who do actually have diamond things from the shop. There are people who use the store for diamonds though.

Oh yeah, that's right.

Back between 2016-2017 a temple-like structure generated in the biome type that has the large fern/dirt field near the spawnzone, the temple used to contain a subterranean room filled with diamond blocks; it was once the major source of diamond in PoC.

-

At some point in 2017, certain people such as Raydermus, Ssandy, Karan, etc. realized that in PoC's Survival Multiplayer Server, there's only 20 biome map templates that duplicate themselves and choose locations randomly for an "infinite" (spanning map-wide) amount of times, so once you realize where a point of interest is in a particular, distinct biome, then you could use that knowledge to go to a near-infinite amount of the same biome, and loot a near-infinite amount of the same point of interest (in this case diamond temples).

-

As a result of this was that Raydermus, Ssandy, and Karan provided well-detailed information for where to find diamond temples to your average forum user; a secret which was once long held by elite players such as GHE.

-

Once the average forum user learnt about this, this information spread throughout Discord servers, PoC YouTube channels, and in-game, thus making diamond temples very easily assessable, and gaining the attention of Solverlabs developers which quickly removed the diamond temple's subterranean diamond room.

-

Although the surface portion of the diamond temple structure itself is still existing within its respective biome, the subterranean loot room with the diamonds was replaced by a solid dirt layer.

Pingu, Also yeah, I agree on your point on the need for a larger sample size of people to survey, royce had not surveyed a large enough amount of people to accurately represent the majority of PoC players.

Pingu, I think you did your math wrong. there are only 9 diamonds in one diamond block. that would be 720 diamonds, being a LOT less than what you thought. still, you're correct about diamonds not being rare enough.
