The boring poc conspiracy theorist is here. Im not even here to argue, i find the removal of ips sudden and absurd lmao- anyway. And pretty much saw one post on here talking about it and not many people discuss it to begin with.
We need to face one thing. Ip's weren't really that important, maybe in early release. Back when you had two potions, you could've drank one. Died. Your stuff is still with you, which personally helped me move my items around and helped pvpers fight confidently.
It feels sudden to remove a future that has been there for four years more or less. We saw it back when it was yellow, back when we could keep the bottle. When the yellow version was removed aswell for the favour of the premium ver. Don't know if that will affect the potion brewing achievement or no... And i didn't try the totem of undying but it feels overpriced, premium and skins are kept behind by a pay wall (not my words. My friend's tho)
But isn't the totem doing the same thing as ench in a way? Aesthetically, it's fabulous. Function-wise? More hearts? Will it save your items? Your armour? Nope. Will it give me more time to beat some dude who called my hair a wig? Definitely.
THOUGH. Economically wise. It's better for poc, traders can't sell food anymore, everyone is trading with ench books, gsets, ips (rip twin) and pretty much shields and premium items. Back then if you had a chests full of ench and golden apples I'd call you crazy rich, after the dupe event that happened because of the hopper? You have enough items to start a ww3 which somehow didn't happen- cough.
Now it can just be premium items, ench and gaps hopefully...
Please. As insensitive as it is. You don't need ips. You had a 75% chance with ip, now you have a 50/50 chance of winning or losing it all. Think of it as a all in bet at a casino. I watched people getting chased around, die. Lose their loot and if you are fast enough you can take their stuff. i saw people getting their butts handed over to them (thats me. I am people. Sup?)
Like really, how do you think people who played for maybe a whole decade. People who didn't have anything but a diamond sword without enchantments. Survived all of this? If you are so confident as a pvper then you should worry that much, i know a guy who can speedrun a gset. If he can do it. You can do it.
I think thats enough. But i still have one major concern: the game. But thats for another day... See ya around. (Yes, i locked in because i needed a writing exercise, no im not attacking anyone. Just being silly.)
