Okay, many people are moaning about lag, I have noticed when you load a GUI, whether it be a window or a message, you get MASSIVE lag spikes, my fps drops to 30 and it is usually a steady 60!  Are you using high resolution images or is just because it's trying to load too much at once?  Either way there is big lags with GUIs, I believe you should definitely look into this....

A other thing that I want to point out is the little red dot on top right of name in your messages....  When you have big lags it sometimes bugs it and removes a few meaning that you don't know who messaged you....  

One final point about the friends message is, it should only be sent when you press enter, there should be an option to disable auto send when you hit enter as it's right next to the backspace!  Your message should ONLY be sent when you hit either the red arrow or enter (assuming that auto send is enabled)

All this being said, the major problems here are the lags loading things into the game.....  Hope this helps, here are some ways in my mind that could help a little!  

First use the chat system, create a similar thing for when you receive messages (black bar or something with the text), second, I have a feeling these messages are stored on the internal device?  Maybe if you done a little research you could find a way to store them to a cloud so it updates there and doesn't change data on your device?  Third, maybe you could add "super low" options on menu to change all textures to be an even lower resolution.  This is just one I'm chucking in, but it's here because it may help players with real bad devices (you could also make a tutorial on how to get the best speed you can on your device).
