I'm building an obsidian highway so people can travel without portals if they want. The highway is planned to be 5000 blocks long it will be also near 0:0. I'm looking for people who can help me build this highway faster. Only 3% of it is completed. What I need for this project: Underground outposts. 29k obsidian. Lava pools-Caves. Miners. Builders. The P.O.T. will help with this safety project though it may take a while. P.S. You will need more than a few forum members as guards. Try recruiting from main spawn or something.
also, HEAD AWAY FROM MAIN SPAWNS THERE ARE TONS OF DIAMOND PEOPLE THERE WITH FULL DIAMOND GEAR. AND THEY WILL TAKE THE OBSIDIAN. P.S. is this gonna be a straight line?

Did some math using a calculator and this bridge currently is made of 4,350,000 blocks.

if the total is 30k the 3% is 900. If the total is 29k the 3% is 870
it's a useless exercise
as long as there are portals, players will not use this road
This obsidian highway could be filled with water and become a canal for boats. Traveling via boat would be better than traveling by foot because you don't loose hunger points on boats.

Though you'd need to put a thin roof over the water canal in snow biomes, otherwise the water would likely freeze.
I was going to say why not a canal, better than a 2b2t wannabe road that'll never be finished.
I actually helped on the southern canal years ago on 2b2t....
If you need a builder I'm available but currently over -10,000 blocks out.

It's an anarchy server that has developed a lot of history over the years, though as it's anarchy players are free to do hacks, and exploits without much intervention from the server's admin.
