That would be cool but it would take a long time to develop and right now they are working on an already planned update. I'd say it be cool for the next one though, 1 update at a time seems most likely.

Gabriel Grizzly, It would probably either only be for single player mode,or It would be a new type of spawnzone with with a different theme.
I wouldn't mind it being in single player as long single player actually works now. A new spawnzone would also be cool but what I'd be wondering how far away it would be generated and if it would generate in unexplored spawns or replace older ones.
ALITTARY, I was thinking that the current spawnzone portals could give you an option to travel to the nether in addition to the overworld. For example, you click a button and the portal UI displays the nether biomes instead of the overworld and vice versa
ALITTARY, they could make a nether biom a non accesable by foot spawnzone. so you can only teleport to it by the portal but their would be hundreds of them just like other bioms these bioms would just be numbered instead of haveing cordinants. they would only be the size of a spawn zone with bedrock walls and ceilings so you could mine the insides and in the nether bioms zombie pigmen and gasts blazes and wither scelatons would spawn their

I hope they add in their own mobs Instead of ripping them straight from minecraft like most of the others. I'd be fine with them taking the old nether like mobs from World craft redesigning them and putting them into this game but I also think they should do what they did with the desert and add in their own mob Ideas instead.

Gabriel Grizzly, I can see the lava and terrain lagging the game out as well as the hundreds of portals that will be everywhere
