Sounds like an issue where the fall damage is considerably delayed from registering after you actually land.
this happened to on of my friends.
I walked for a little after teleporting through a portal and then died from falling for some reason, guess travelling Through distorted time Ist all It's cracked up to be.

This happens to me to.sometimes i go in portal,when i tp to a realm,i spawn super hight in the air
Yeah that happens quite often now, up from just a 7% chance to nearly 70%
I wonder why

yeah sometimes this happens to me when you have an extreme lag or your fps dropped to 10 or 20 below thats why
