•Hey guys! So today this suggestion will be about cocoa beans, because some times those more ignored features of the game need some attention too, Lol.
•so currently, how you get cocoa beans is by rarely getting it from killing animals and monsters supposedly, most likely as a placeholder item drops(like how mobs dropping nether/brewing ingredients and fish items are placeholder item drops), most likely because Solverlabs doesn't have a better way for it to be obtainable as of yet.
•so normally in MineCraft, you would get cocoa beans by cocoa bean pod-crops blocks being attached to the sides of Jungle tree logs, and used to be able to be found in Dungeon chests.
•Though since none of PoC Survival Mode server being naturally generated(just each biome is copied and placed infinitely, and if you study the biomes enough, you realize that they seemed to originate from a custom MineCraft map with MCEdit and was then ported to PoC),and some blocks that would be there are removed for some reason (like most structure chests, End Portal Frames in Strongholds, a good majority of any Abandoned Mineshaft's blocks, and cocoa bean pod-crop blocks in any of the jungles, along with other cases), and it doesn't seem like Solverlabs is able to edit maps to have newer blocks(which is why we don't have access to the two-block tall flowers).
•So none of the 2 MineCraft ways of obtaining cocoa beans would seem to work in PoC, so here's a way I thought up for how to obtain cocoa beans.
•cocoa beans could be an uncommon drop from jungle tree leaves, like how apples are an uncommon drop from oak tree leaves, and cocoa beans would have the same drop-rate precentage as apples would, then once you get a cocoa bean from breaking enough jungle leaves, you can place it on the side of a jungle tree log, and start farming them the same way that's in MineCraft.
•also some other food items made from cocoa beans would be nice too. Like for example, 2 cocoa beans and 1 sugar could make chocolate, which could give 1 hunger bar back if eaten, and would you the swiftness/speed effect for 10 seconds, then the slowness effect (to simulate a "sugar crash") for 4 seconds after.
•Another example could be chocolate cake, which could be crafted by 1 cake and 4 cocoa beans, this would make the cake give you 1.5 hunger bar back(because normal cakes give you 0.5 hunger bars back, added with the chocolate would add 1 extra hunger bar back) for every slice eaten, and would give you the same effect as the chocolate previously stated when eaten.
P.S: by the way, can we please get the leaf block types dropping their own saplings? Like oak dropping oak saplings, birch dropping birch saplings, jungle dropping jungle saplings, and so on?
I hope you guys enjoyed! :D
How tf do u come up with all these suggestions? NIQQA ARE U A ROBOT FISH?
I just wait until I think of enough decent suggestions to suggest, but in this case, me, Bansheeplant, and Alexandra was having a conversation about heading to a jungle to look for cocoa beans, while I has breaking some hedge leaves from a natural structure(for building materials), then I had the idea of what if they made it that you could get cocoa beans from jungle leaves like apples from oak leaves. The rest about the food items was based on old suggestions, Lol.
BlueTangs Rock3,yes ur a robotic fish
YES. >:D
BlueTangs Rock3, ommlll XD
What, I gotta give yhe people what they want, XD
worm fart like coco beens!
I have killed a bunch of animals and monsters and havent gotten a single cocoa bean. :(
yeah, I'm not really sure how you even obtain cocoa beans in PoC at the current moment, I just had numerous people tell me that they got them from mobs. But yeah, cocoa beans would make more sense being an uncommon jungle leaf drop as a placeholder way to obtain it before adding cocoa bean pod blocks to the terrain.
