How many bookshelves can I put next to the enchanting table? Cause I have enough books to make plenty,but will bookshelves 10 blocks away from the table still work?
Cause I know bookshelves next to the table make enchantment better,but how many can I put next to the table,until it's too far away?
In order to have an effect, a bookshelf must be placed exactly 2 blocks, laterally, off the enchanting table and be on the same level or one block height above the table, and the 2-high space between the bookshelf and table must be air (even a torch, snow cover or carpet blocks the effect), where "between" is as shown in the following picture (the white spaces are air, and the do not matter):
I just made my first enchantment table today and enchanted all my armor with protection. I only have iron armor but it now has the power of diamond
