I heard people say gold spawns more in the deserts but I am not sure if this is true so does anyone know if this is true or I have to test it.

I don't think so, however certain desert biomes have a giant canyon-like ravine that serves as a high-quality mining location, so it would be easier to find rare ores there even if they don't generate in a higher abundance than other biomes. Also it seems like deserts, and some other certain types of biomes such as extreme hills seem to be where the emeralds generate, so that's something special about the desert's underground.

Give me tnt, ehh, sometimes you found some mineshafts that have a TON of gold and a lot of emeralds as well
Or the area around mineshafts

It's not on the mountain tho, soo pure luck I guess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
