Dye doesn't affect the cost, the enchantments do. Even if you have the same enchants on both, one might still be more expensive than the other because the order of when u put the enchantments on gear also affects the costs
Or maybe it has to do with how many times it was repaired, I do know that stock armour gets more expensive the more you repair it. But don't repair gsets often enough to see

Phøenix, Both are leggings though and can be fixed using 3 diamonds
The price also depends on how many times you repaired the item. Maybe the second pants were repaired more times, then the first one.
