Currently, the way of PvP in PoC is, kinda odd..
Land PvP:
Jump and spin while hitting your opponent, place blocks and do parkour, it's sounds nice, accuracy is needed for a crossbow/Bow shots, it is mostly a fair game..
Hole PvP:
This is a different aspect of combat, if it could even be called that.. it's just multiple players go in a hole, they eat enchanted golden apples and normal golden apples, and spam arrows of harming 2. Sometimes they use their melee tools (Axes and swords), and then bring multiple sets of armor so your armor doesn't break. Lava is usually placed so opponents can't escape/their slowed down.
I don't know why, but I feel like a max bow shooting normal arrows at a "normal speed" ( Fully charge the bow and shoot opponent) would be SLOWER than a person using an autoclicker or spamming their arrows of harming 2
I say autoclicker because I have played other games where people used autoclickers and got many advantages, and using one to spam your bow or sword is bad..
I think spamming a sword is not possible because of a lock on the corner of your screen when you hit something, it might stop you from doing damage using a melee while that short possible cooldown is there.. Maybe spamming sword on something/someone is not as possible as before, I guess you might say..

Basically land pvp kind of requires a little bit more skill.. like instead of spamming, actually charging bow and you can move more freely.
Hole pvp is basically spamming, eat, and replace (Sets of armor)
The lock symbol that appears when you attack something has nothing to do with stopping players from spamming melee attacks. The game already has a system where there is a small cooldown for how often you can take damage (and it applies to every type of damage)

This is how good at PvP I am.
I'm in full diamond armour with diamond sword and I still get taken out by a lesser player without, although I think he drank some potions.
Swords are useless these days, I know something that will do a way better job at fending off zombies and hopefully a few players...
Use fire aspect and looting on a sword, best combination for getting food

My last 2 swords had looting II ,the last one had knockback II and sharpness IIII, best sword I had, I use an axe these days...
Fire aspect on anything and you set it on fire by just hitting, unless you lag and have to rejoin for fire aspect to work
