The guy with redstone_Youcrafter XD.Trader, If anything, boats are super underpowered. They are barely faster, if not slower than sprint swimming. There are much more practical ways of avoiding fall damage like Feather Falling or using water.

Feather falling doesn't nullify damage but its the only thing you can use in a spawn area.

Yes you can use a water bucket too, but with a boat you don't need to worry if you make a mistake. (by jumping ~45)
Should boats be able to go like, super fast on ice?
At the time it's same or slower as on water.
