My grandson enjoys playing this game. He is having trouble in finding a Blaze Rod (he wants to make blaze powder)
In order to obtain a blaze rod he know he has to kill a zombie, or creeper, or skeleton, or spider or slime - but when he kills one of these he doesn't find the blaze rod. How does he find a blaze rod
Any help would be appreciated

The Blazing Rod drop isn't 100%. In order to get the Rod, he should kill a bunch of mobs or visit one of the Mansions to have a chance of finding the Rod in one of the chests.
