Have you seen door bells and electric bells in restaurant’s doors and shops? Those bell ring when someone open the door and notice the staff. Why not add it to poc???
The bell can be easily made from 2-3 iron ignots and have to be hanged from the ceiling. Or maybe the sides but not the ground. Whenever someone passes or a mob passes, any movement in general, will make it ring and every player in the area can hear it. If you have no sound, maybe each time it rings, you will see some waves with music coming...
This will help clan leaders to monitor who came into his room, for example, or to detect attackers and mobs incoming, crop growing and more. It will make a sound when destroyed too!

Interesting concept, but I believe it'ld need some improvements to fit PoC's theme a bit
maybe a tripwire that could be connected to some bells, or a noteblock, and create an alarm that would scare off animals, stun(moving significantly slower than normal) hostile mobs for a few seconds, and the UI could show you the direction (kinda like how if you attempt to mine or place in a spawnzone, it'll sometimes show you the direction to the outside of the spawnzone) of a player that set off your tripwire alarm that isn't on your friend's list.
the tripwire would just be a string, when placeable string is added in PoC(as it is something in MineCraft already).
