Hello everybody. Are you having fun playing Planet of Cubes? I am sure that, armored pros won't have much problem fighting hostile mobs and survive( except enderman) but since BlueTang Rock3 have already described how we could all slay him down, it is time for me to show you how to stop a deadly threat: hostile players.
As for leather-armored players, it would be quite difficult. This tip can be used to survive an attack from someone stronger than you( eg. Diamond-armored vs. Iron-armored). Let's begin.
Step1. Be ready for anything!
This step involve a lot of work to prepare yourself, for any fight that may come suddenly.
1.For your inventory: A sword that is at least made of iron, a bucket of lava for burning enemies, arrows( better use tipped one) against ranged attack players, some helpful potions to give advantages and some harmful SPLASH potion for fighting groups. If you can, pack a golden enchanted apple or a golden apple.
Be armored- golden armor and up are good.
2.For yourself: practice makes perfect! There are a lot of way to practice: kill hostile mobs, or simply make a dummy and hit it fast. Ask a friend for assistant.
3.Environment: choose an environment that would be suitable for you. You can build an arena and lure players to it for better fighting. Tip: build a lava tank under the arena and try to dig away the ground below your enemy, he/she will struggle.
Build a sky base and lure players there! When you are on a sky base, there is a new kind of trap that you can use:
Use trapdoors that leads to the ground from a height, and open it whenever your enemy steps on it. Or simply you can dig away the ground below your enemy's feet!
Build a maze: a sky maze or a maze where lava is underneath is cool. You can make traps in the maze, and run into it when you are attacked. If lucky, you will escape. Then try to trap your opponent and teleport to a friend if you get lost.
4.Ask a friend for assistant if needed.
In case of losing:
1.If you knew a fight is coming soon, and to make sure that you will not have to start over if you lose, here is the tip:
Craft a chest and hide it somewhere in your base where no one will ever find it. Empty your inventory into it except the things that I told you to prepare, then, DEFEND YOURSELF.
2. RUN FOR YOUR LIFE! This isn't a nice method to surrender as players can chase you but at least you have little chance to survive.
3. Teleport away: ask a friend to be online and then teleport to his/her. the attacker cannot find you there.

any player can survive almost 10 mins against a player wearing any type of armors if the weak player have potions and food* in his inventory ... apples isnt everything as everyone thinks . i survived many fights without even using apples while the attacker did use them , all u need is to use ur mind cuz if u did u will last for a while but as we all know the game laggs like shit i mean it like shit! so the player with the strongest Wi-Fi will always win!

Gold armor isn't good despite it's rarity, it's as bad, if not worse than leather in durrabilty, and in protection. Iron and Diamond armors are way better. If you bring golden armor to a fight, that's a mistake. It's better to use that gold for golden apples, enchantment golden apples, golden carrots, and things like that. Golden armor's more like decoration, or for show, than any kind of battle gear.
