My first advise is to find a good hidden place for your base:
1. Build base far from the spawn zone and on un-expected coordinates.
2. Good to have underground base, with hidden entrance, that located in the middle of the spawn borders .
3. Flying base in the clouds.
4. Base in the mountains with hidden entrance.
Add traps for evil players in the way to your base and around your base, so only you and your clan members will know how to get to the base.
