Hello everyone, I noticed that this forum seems pretty devoid of Biblical Scriptures or Christians in general, so I decided to talk about Jesus for those who don't know him yet. Jesus isn't a prophet, He is the Living Son of God. He is born out of the virgin mother Mary and is God manifest in the flesh. 100% Man and 100% God. 2000 years ago He was preaching to people the Word of God, performing miracles and even raised several people from the dead, including the widow's son at Nain, Jairus' daughter, and Lazarus. He is also described as having raised himself from the dead three days after his crucifixion according to the New Testament. God wants to have a relationship with you. He's not some distant dictator or someone who will remind you of your failures. Its quite the opposite, He loves and cares for you, He takes care of all your troubles and worries on a daily basis. He knew you before you formed in the womb. God is all loving, however He is also good. In order to get to Heaven, you must be good and as we know, no one is good according to his criteria. We have all atleast once, lied, stolen, badmouthed someone, even if you did not do it physically, if you've done it in your heart (your mind) it counts as sin. We are therefore all sinners and require someone who can redeem us of our sin to be able to get into Heaven in eternal communion with our Creator and Loving Father. The one who bridges the path to Heaven is Jesus Christ of Nazareth. And He wants you to let go of everything you're doing right now and follow Him. Don't just give Him access to some parts of your life but offer Him everything. That means making sacrifices. Cut off your bad habbits, if you cuss a lot, train your tongue in such a way you only speak good. Speak that which builds others up, not destroys and sickens others' hearts. Jesus was unjustly persecuted for claiming He was the Son of God and had to suffer an excrutiating death. He was whipped beyond recognition, his beard was torn and the people who saw Him could not tell whether or not Jesus was a man or a woman. He was betrayed by one of his Followers Judas Iscariot who had sold Jesus for 30 pieces of silver. He was mocked, naked and had to carry a heavy, unsmooth wooden crossbeam, with historians estimating the entire cross weighed over 300 pounds, but it is likely that only the crossbar (patibulum) was carried to the crucifixion site. The crossbar is estimated to have weighed around 70-90 pounds. The wood would have been rough, and carrying even the crossbar after being scourged and beaten would have been extremely difficult, which is why Simon of Cyrene was forced to help. Even after all of this suffering, Jesus additionally was nailed against the cross leading to extreme difficulty with his breath. He lost a lot of blood and hung on his cross for over 6 hours. He had defeated death on the cross, lived a sinless flawless blameless perfect life that none of us could live and died an unjust death that we all as sinners deserve. Don't think about it, make a choice for Jesus today as you stand. You don't take a shower because you are clean, you enter the shower because you're dirty. In this same instance must you approach God and humbly give Jesus your sin so you can be cleansed and saved. The Holy Spirit will fill you and He will give you the strength to go through trials and tribulation. You cannot believe some parts of The Bible, you are required to believe every single word written in it. You need to believe in The Holy Trinity which consists of The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit, 3 in essence, 1 in nature.
