Where there as small as they can be then there harmless and very adorable I sometimes keep them as a pet just so fuzzy has someone to talk to cause fuzzy gets pretty lonely as a spider
If you are new to Survival Mode, I can tell you that the slimes do actually do damage, unless you are referring to the small slimes. Those do no damage and can be killed by a fist

Here's a little experiment for you guys.
0. Put on your best ench armour (trust me, you're gonna need it!)
1. Dig down a 3x3 small hole, 7 deep from ground level.
2. Buy 15-20 Slime spawn eggs. (IK you are RICH, you brag about it all the time, so don't spare those coins $$$)
3. Spawn the eggs all at once
4. Survive (Observe the damage, they can make when teaming up against you, just like TCE members)
5. Having fun yet? OK, start over with 10 more spawn eggs every time. And repeat from step 2.

Pingu,To kindly remind you I barely fight mobs to know anything about them I usually one shot them without trying to see what they can do
small slimes don't have much strength so they don't damage you
No, the small ones are weak and do 0 damage the big one abt 4x4 blocks wide can cause damage so yeah they are pretty harmless
