Do you want to make a base? If so, I can help. First, let's review the types of bases. 
 
Base type 1: The Tree Base, a base that is either hidden inside a tree, or a treehouse. 
Base type 2: The Underground Base, a base that is made only hidden underground, or inside a cave. 
Base type 3: The Normal Base, a base that is not hidden and can look like anything.
Base type 4: The one that is really easy to see, I don't recommend this if you want your base to be safe. 
Base type 5: The Youtuber Base, the one with many builds and cool stuff. 
Base type 6: The Diamond Base, the base with many diamond blocks. I don't think it's worth it to build this. 
 
So you have learned the base types, now for how to build the base. 
Okay, so. Every base must have enclosed walls, a door, and probably some windows. So add those. 
You are allowed to start out small, it does not have to be giant. 
Anyways, once that's done, try to make a room for chests, but make sure it seems okay if it's exposed where you can see it. 
If it's on the ground, I suggest making a wood plank house, with normal logs in the corners. 
Then, add the windows and the door(s).
Do not forget to close the door though.
 
Anyways, you will need a farm. So craft a hoe, then dig in the dirt. 
Any seeds will work, even wheat because you can make bread and stuff. 
But, make sure you have a light source! Even if it's just torches. 
Also, make sure to add water near it, you can farm near a pond or something if you would like. 

Make sure your base is strong and make sure it can stand raids. 
If you want a very very strong base use obsidian, but that might take a while. You need a diamond pickaxe too.
You can make obsidian with water and lava mixing. 
 
Dirt houses are very likely to be raided, players can easily break in and attack. So still probably use wood, or something else stronger. 

How to set up every type of base:
Tree Base: If you want to make a tree base, go over to a tree that is still okay and has not been chopped into. Then, carve into the tree but if you accidentally chop a block and you see outside, place the log back there. If you can't make it sit up, go outside when it's day and try to make it face up. If you want something to stick out of the tree base, make a ladder. 
You can make a ladder with sticks. Then, chop some of the tree and make it so you can see outside. And then, make some wood planks or something and make a deck. Then, you have your tree base. Also still, don't forget the door and everything else that you need. 
 
Underground Base: If you want to make an underground base, make stairs going down. When you think it's the perfect spot, you may start carving out a square room. I don't suggest having little space, I think it's good if you make a room where you can jump but it still works if it's small. Then add everything you need. At the entrance of the stairway, add walls around it. Then put the door. Make sure you light up the base so mobs and stuff don't spawn. 

The Normal Base: If you want to make a normal base, you basically do anything with it. All you need is a base, then you can decorate it how you like. I still recommend it being strong though and having things like windows and doors. Also a farm can be inside or outside, on Minecraft I made an inside farm with torches before. 
 
The base that is really easy to see: I still don't recommend this because it could be raided easily, anyways. If you want to make this base, just make your base giant. If you are going to build this I recommend it far away and at random coords. Just as long as players probably won't find it. 
 
The Youtuber Base: If you want to make a youtuber base, first. Create a YouTube channel, then make a base atleast like 1000 coords away so it's harder to find. Then, after that. Make many builds, it can even be pixel art. And finally, record videos on the base that you have created. 

The Diamond Base: If you want to make a diamond base, you need many diamond blocks. Also the reason I don't think this is worth it, is because people could come in and steal all the diamond blocks. Anyways, if you do want to try this. Make a base very far away, and collect diamonds from mines that have already been mined in. Then, turn all the diamonds into diamond blocks. I highly suggest putting this type of base somewhere that is hard to find. You still need the stuff I talked about like a door though. 
 
Chest rooms: You will probably need a chest room, so first. Get some wood and make some chests. You might want to grab some more wood for chests though, because you will probably want the chests to fill the wall(s). Once you have the chests, start trying to add another room for them. But try to make it look like it was there before. If you haven't make the base yet maybe try to make it so there is a place for the chest room and stuff. 
 
Farms: If you don't have a water bucket, try to find a lake or pond. In the Pinewoods City map, there is some water away from spawn. There are some trees around it too, but idk if they could work for tree bases. I know there are some far away from Pinewoods City that make good tree bases. Anyways, you will need to craft a hoe like I said earlier, you can do that with sticks and a type of material such as wood of course. You can make an infinite water source by placing water from both sides, and having one block in the middle turn into a full water block. Then, click in the middle of the water. You can make buckets with iron, also. Seeds ( Wheat seeds ) cost 2 coins in the shop. You can make an inside farm with torches and stuff too. 
 
Strong bases: If you want your base to have obsidian and be strong, you can easily find some if you go in a cave. There will be some water and lava there, probably mixing too. If a player has already been there and covered the lava in water there will be obsidian. You don't need to make your base out of obsidian though, just if you want it to be very strong. Also remember to bring a diamond pickaxe because it's the only thing that can break it. 
 
Doors: Your base will need a door of course, any type of door. But my favorite door is the spruce door, I like it even better than the oak door. It just seems kinda medical to me, and the oak one just makes me think of a ripped screen / broken glass and an old door. Anyways, you must place a door. Don't forget to lock it, or mobs ( Monsters ) can easily get in. Players can still get in though. If it's an iron door they can't get in unless they break the door with a good enough pickaxe, or place a lever or something. If a player sees an iron door there and can't get in, they will probably try to break in the house somewhere else. 
 
Windows: To make windows you need a furnace and sand, when you get the furnace and sand. Smelt it in the furnace, you don't need windows. But if you want to see outside, and see things like mobs. You need a window. If you just make holes inside your house, skeletons can shoot you and some hostile mobs might be able to see you. So don't add holes inside your house if you want to see outside. 
 
Inventions: You can invent things for your base to keep it stronger, but you can also use it for decorations. Inventions are very good for bases. There are not things like pistons in the game yet, but that is a good suggestion. For example, Ive invented something to keep raiders out of my clan base. That Red, some others, and I made. But Red started it, I mainly just edited it. But it works, because Blake actually fell in it once, and maybe some others. So make sure to invent and improve things for your base. 
 
Mining Areas: Oh, I forgot to mention this. Make sure you have a place that you can go mining in, or you know a place that you can go mining in. You / your clan will need diamonds, and if you want to make a diamond base, you need diamonds. Still, probably save those diamonds. If you have enough diamonds, I suggest making tools. Then make your armor. You can mine things faster with your tools to help your base.
