I keep seeing these worlds on private maps. They have a sillouette and pencil on whats supposed to be whatever picture of the biome/spawn now they have what looks like a PHOTO taken from the literal map,As i went on another map that had an ocean on the picture and there was an ocean in the map. Why is this happening, and how,and Who Is making these maps?

I have some theories about this: These maps are actually testing sites for a new feature coming to POC,being able to upload photos on the picture of whatever world the map is on,or these are just junk maps made by admins or someone who has access to thr games code. This other theory is unlikely but as we all know in 15 days a private map expires if nobody has joined it. So maybe, the picture on the map is actually a warning sign to players, thats not visible to map creators so they dont get stressed or something,"asking" them to join and/or do something,as shown by the pencil.
Second theory is probably wrong.
Maybe its just the map maker just making some settings adjustments.
Dar Kuma,There is no option to uplpad different photos on the front of the map in settings. This the work of someone who has special access to the game
You used to be able to upload single player maps and those were the covers I think
I made an ocean map Red
But a long time ago
It was removed of course
The pencil means created or something probably, you can choose biomes
But i recently saw this map,so this was probanly made this week. And when i check the maps they are 25x25 while singleplayer maps are infinite.
But, they could of made it and uploaded it. And it never expired
They were supposed to be this:
last year, its possible to Upload Singleplaer maps to Online private maps, but it got remvoed cause of bugs. Today there are still some maps there which were uploaded from singleplayer from a long time before.
So thats the maps which were from singleplayer as u see.
Ok then
You mean the black hammer icon with the red crossed-out circle?
Those mean that regular players that aren't the owner of the map cannot edit blocks (no mining and no building).
The biome background doesn't matter.
Oh nvm, you mean this thing. I have no idea what that is either
You can choose a biome on single player so it probably means you chose the biome on the picture
Ok
I while ago you can upload a offline map to online and they have images like this but you can't do this anymore
