Could be a glitch with the damage, or poison type (In Minecraft there's two types of poison; regular poison, and a lethal poison which is only available via commands. If PoC has two types of poison in the code as well, maybe a bug switched the two poisons?)
Since when does it say you died like that it doesn't can't you tell it's a player you don't die that way and I had a friend die from a poison potion cause of a witch and it said this player died from magic
I was given research by PinguLabs, found out poison is only capable of bringing you REALLY low if it's thrown by a witch, and if it's normal poison, not poison II, but research is being done on Posion+
A witches poison since PoC update 2.1 has been able to kill you. It is no glitch or player. This was done on purpose in the update, and I have tried gaps and milk, neither protect from witches poison for me anymore.

That on its own sounds like a glitch since milk is supposed to clear all potion effects, and enchanted golden apple regeneration should be canceling out most of the poison damage.

You claim you cannot die via poison and yet I personally have run after a witch and had poison thrown at me and kill me. Why won't you just be honest?

I think witches throw harming potions
Witches can throw either slowness, poison, or harming splash potions depending on the situation.
Poison took me to 3 hearts, is this a buff to poison or just a glitch???
It wasn't from a player I was at the woodland mansion then ran out of the zone because I had no amour so maybe that I seen more people die of poison

It's.a.glitch, poison as powerful as this, can only be obtained by the witch. the witch poison can bring a max player to 2 hearts
And (I think) since poison isn't supposed to kill you, (it can kill you if you have no armor, or not so good armor) it says "Death_Poisoned"

The developers deny this but a witch has poisoned me to death in my base. After a hit not even direct, even after drinking milk I still died

The posion will bring tou down to half heart somerimes, even in max armor. Given you are at full health to begin with
My second account thorn died twice when a witch hit her with a poison potion it killed her

Maybe the only way to fix this is to bring healing potions and hope the poison runs out
Poison is very effective if you don't treat it with milk or your saturation isn't full, you will die.

I'm pretty sure that infinity only works for normal arrows, not potion effect arrows.
BlueTangs Rock3, we muitshot is a kind of infinite effect arrows but you have to be very skilled to use it effectively and it is still slow
