•As a proof of concept, it is actually possible to make a very basic map of the PoC Survival Multiplayer Server's terrain. However, if you're not willing to read the next 5 medium sized sentences, here's a link to a simplified version of this topic since I feel like this proof of concept is that important: http://poc.solverlabs.com/content/how-create-map-poc-survival-multiplaye....
•due to the natural terrain in one type of biome PoC being the exact same in another of that same biome type, and once you study what's in each of the biomes, and where to find them(the easiest way for that is by looking at the biomes individually in the Private Map Servers), it's very easy to tell what type of terrain features to expect once you find a biome.
•In PoC, there's 20 different biomes that will spawn in, and each one is dependent on their spawnzone, some of those biomes have multiple similar biomes in variants (such as dessert biomes having 2 variants, and snow biomes having 3 variants as an example), however others(like swamps, and savannas) have a single biome variant.
•So to tell wich biome you're in, you can either indentify terrain to tell what type of biome you're in, or you can see what type of spawnzone you're in, though you'll have to study what types of spawnzones spawn in each biome variant, and a screenshot of some(since it will most likely take up more than the 3 screenshot per making a forum thread limit to show all of them) of the spawnzone town types will be shown below.
•And to create a map of the terrain in PoC, you'll need to look at the type of spawnzone, starting from 0:0, and going around a radius of spawnzones distance from the 0:0 spawn and marking down on a grid what biomes are occurring in each of those spawnzone towns, until you filled up your grid, and then you'll have yourself a biome/spawnzone map at least.
•It's a very basic and minimum way of making a map in PoC's Survival Mode Server, but it's the best we can get before Solverlabs adds actual maps eventually.
•I hope that you guys enjoyed my proof of concept! :D
